Frequently asked questions

The short version:

• Run the one-line allowlist command from the install guide in PowerShell as Administrator.
• Close all Chrome windows completely.
• Reopen Chrome and go to chrome://extensions.
• Turn on Developer mode (top right).
• Drag and drop Phantom.crx onto the page, then click Add extension.
• Pin it: click the puzzle piece 🧩 in Chrome’s toolbar, then click the pin next to Phantom.

Use the personal download link that was DM’d to you when you were approved.

• Click your download link. Chrome saves Phantom.bin to your Downloads folder.
• Open Downloads, right-click Phantom.bin, choose Rename and change it to Phantom.crx.
• Go to chrome://extensions, turn on Developer mode, then drag and drop Phantom.crx onto the page.

On a Mac, or if the extension toggle stays greyed out: go to the install channel in our Discord and click 🍎 Get my Mac link. The bot DMs you a personal zip with your key already in it. Extract Phantom.zip, go to chrome://extensions, turn on Developer mode, click Load unpacked and select the Phantom folder.

Heads up: installs done this way (Load unpacked) do not auto-update. That’s a Chrome limitation on this method. Phantom shows a banner in the popup when a new version is out; redownload the zip and reload it each time.

• Make sure there are no extra spaces when you paste the key.
• The key format is PH-XXXXXX-XXXXXX-XXXXXX.
• If it says “License expired”, open a ticket to renew.
• If it says “License revoked”, contact an admin.
• If it says “Cannot reach license server”, check your internet and try again.

Still not working? Open a support ticket with your key and the error message.

Your key is tied to the devices it’s been used on. If you switched computers or got this by mistake, open a support ticket and we’ll reset it for you. It usually takes just a few minutes.

The Costco feature opens incognito windows, and Chrome blocks extensions in incognito by default. Go to chrome://extensions, click Details on Phantom, and turn on Allow in Incognito. The Costco windows will then open and sign in.

No. Phantom improves your speed and your odds, but it does not guarantee a checkout. Retailers actively block automated tools and stock sells out in seconds. It’s a real race, and we’re honest about that.
